No place for 'defectors' in AIADMK, says Jaya

AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa today said she would not henceforth allow those who had 'shifted loyalties' to rejoin the party. She also said no one could take the AIADMK's place and predicted a 'golden' future for the party.

Speaking at the former Minister Anitha Radhakrishnan's family marriage function here, the AIADMK supremo said some of the party members quit the AIADMK whenever the party loses power in the State.

Stating that she had allowed some of them to rejoin the party again, Jayalalithaa said she would not allow that in future.

'They are miscalculating and ruining their own future in the process. Better times are ahead. There is no place for 'cheaters' in the party,' she said.

Criticising the ruling DMK indirectly for not giving due share in power to its allies, Jayalalithaa advised the newly-wed couple to share each and everything equally in life.

On the violence during the recently held local body elections, the AIADMK supremo described it as a failure of democracy and said 'one cannot except democracy from the DMK.'

Describing AIADMK men as clean and humanitarian, Jayalalithaa said she was always there to take them to greater heights in their political career by offering various posts and positions.

Jayalalithaa also said the public have reposed great faith and expected a lot from the AIADMK.

Stating that their dreams would be fulfilled soon, the former Chief Minister said the AIADMK would return to power in the State soon.
